Sasha’s Introduction –

Image

Dear readers^^,

My name is Yansha and my friends usually call me Sasha, which is my English name, or “傻傻shasha” which literally means silly or stupid in Chinese.  Those who know Chinese probably have a pretty good idea why “傻傻shasha” is my nick name. And for those who doesn’t, it is because “傻傻” and “Sasha” are homophones in Chinese.

I was born and raised in a small town in southern China, but have immigrated to Canada with my family when I was 14 years old. I have been living in Calgary ever since I moved to Canada; therefore, Calgary is like another hometown to me. I enjoy watching hockey, like most other Canadians, and I am a big fan of the Calgary Flames, the local NHL team in Calgary. As a fan, I try my best to watch every games and was worrying that I will be missing a few games when I am away to Japan. However as the Flames did not make the playoff this year, I will not have to worry about missing any of their games.

I have a lot of interests, including reading books, listening to music,  hunting in the forest, traveling around the world, playing games, eating, cooking, drawing, fishing, gardening…etc. Basically I enjoy experiencing different things and learning about everything. As this is my first time being to Japan, it will definitely be one of the most valuable experience in my life.

I am extremely excited and looking forward to have an awesome trip with my awesome classmates \(≧▽≦)/!!
